One of the toughest questions I am always faced with is when people ask me what I like to do outside of work. I like to follow news. I love being immersed in news.
Since getting back into local news at the beginning of this year, time has started to fly again. As I hate to see the sun setting on another summer, I am almost in disbelief about how fast 2013 is flying by.
For me, that is due in large part to the fact I was able to navigate my way out of a bad job and get back to where I belong, being in a local newsroom.
I mention this, and am reminded of the saying... If you find a job you love, you'll never have to work a day in your life. Getting into news was a no brainer for me.
As time goes by, I am getting much better at not focusing on the bad, but looking ahead to the potential that lies ahead.
It's amazing how that one task alone, can change your entire mood.
